- Turn on both MacBook computers, then turn on projectors.
- To turn on projectors, use the Panasonic remote located in the laptop bag.
- Take a look at the Order of Service (MSU Venue OOS) and the teacher’s notes so you know what will happen during the service.
- On the “Primary” MacBook (the one labeled Primary), open ProPresenter (“Pro” icon in dock).
- Announcements, Songs, and Message are preloaded in the playlist at the bottom left of the screen.
- On the “Background” MacBook (the one labeled Background) open ProPresenter.
- Cue up the message video by clicking on the “Message” playlist item, then right clicking on the video slide (Untitled 01.mp4).
- Click Media Properties from the drop down list
- In the Media Cue Inspector window, drag the grey status bar to find the beginning of the message video.
- Click the “In” button to set the start point of the video.
- Drag the grey status bar to find the end of the message video.
- Click the “Out” button to set the end point of the video.
- Close the Media Cue Inspector window.
- Confirm the song order with the band leader before the production meeting.
- On the “Primary” Macbook click the desired song in the playlist on the bottom left.
- Click the Arrangement button. (button directly below the “Volume” button at the top right)
- Drag the blue bubbles labeled “Verse 1”, “Verse 2”, “Chorus”, “Bridge” into the correct order according to the band leader. You can add additional parts to the song arrangements by dragging the gray bubbles down to the line of blue ones. Add a “Blank” for instrumental breaks and be sure to leave a “Blank” at the beginning and end of each song.
- Click the Arrangement button again to close and move on to the next song.
- 30 Minutes before the service begins/right before the production meeting, start the announcement slides.
- Click on the “Announcement Slides” in the playlist on the “Primary” Macbook, then click the first slide.
- Click on the series title slide in the image bin on the “Background” Macbook.
- Announcement Slides will loop until you click on the last blank slide.
- When the band goes onstage for the first music set, change the backgrounds and start the first song.
- Click on matching song backgrounds from the image bin on the “Primary” and “Background” MacBooks.
- Click on the first song in the “Primary” playlist, then the first slide.
- You can follow along by using the left and right arrows, or clicking on the lyrics slides.
- For the Welcome & Announcements, click on the “Primary” & “Background” series name images.
- For the My Story, click on the “Primary” & “Background” My Story images.
- After the My Story, cue up the message video.
- Click on the “Message” playlist item on the “Background” Macbook, then click the first slide.
- Click on the “Title Package” playlist item on the “Primary” Macbook, then click the first slide.
- As soon as the host finishes introducing the video, click on the “Primary” title package video.
- As soon as the title video ends, click on the “Background” message video.
- Click on the “Message” item on the “Primary” playlist.
- Click on the first slide in the message.
- You can advance to the next slide by clicking on it, using the space bar, or the right arrow key.
- If you need to skip a slide, just click on the next slide you would like displayed.
- Any videos or images will be embedded in the message slides and will play when you click on that slide.
- At the end of the message, the video will automatically stop and advance to a background slide.
- Click on the matching “Primary” background image.
- Click on the first song after the message, and click the first slide.
- After the offering when the band starts to play, change the backgrounds on both MacBooks.
- After the last song, and after the worship leader dismisses everyone, play the Announcements.
- Announcements are both the first and last time in the playlist. These are identical.
- After the last service of the day and most people have left, power off the projectors.
- To turn off the projectors, use the remote located in the laptop bag.
- Turn off both Macbook computers by simultaneously pressing the Command+Option+Control+Media Eject (⏏) keys.
- Special Circumstances
- A RivKid worker brings you a page tag, needing to page a parent:
- If it’s during the message:
- If a video is playing or the speaker is reading text that appears on the screen, wait until the end of that segment.
- Click on the Messages button in the top middle of ProPresenter on the Primary iMac.
- In the Message box, end the number on the RivKids tag and click “Show Message.”
- Once you see someone who looks like a parent stand up and head towards an exit, click “Hide.”
- Click the Messages button again to close the Messages box.
- If it’s during the music:
- If a song is just beginning or ending, wait until the first lyrics slide.
- Click the Messages button in the top middle of ProPresenter on the Primary iMac.
- In the Message box, enter the number on the RivKids tag and click “Show Message.”
- Once you see someone who looks like a parent stand up and head towards an exit, click “Hide.”
- Click the Messages button again to close the Messages box.
- Someone informs you that there is a medical emergency and the medical response team needs to be paged:
- Follow the same procedures as for paging a parent above, but type in the word “STAT” in all capital letters.
- Someone informs you that the Safety/Security Team needs to be paged:
- Follow the same procedures as for paging a parent above, but type in the word “SFTY” in all capital letters.
- Someone informs you that a car’s lights have been left on:
- Please refrain from displaying these types of messages. We will gladly jump start the car after the service.
